If your progress charts look too high, or look like they are counting your vital twice, this usually happens when two tracking sources are sending data to Human. For example, a smart scale and a fitness app both recording your weight.
✅ Steps and heart rate are already sorted
We combine your step count and heart rate, so they will not double up. If your steps or heart rate look off, something else is going on. Synced Vitals not updating?
Every other vital reads each source separately
For all your other Synced Vitals, we read each entry sitting in your phone's health app. So if two sources record the same reading, you will see it twice.
✏️ How to clean up your data
1. Turn off the source you do not want
Open the app for the device or service you would rather not use for this vital, and switch off its connection to Apple Health or Health Connect. This stops any new duplicates piling up.
2. Clear duplicate entries out of your phone's health app
Open Apple Health or Health Connect, find the vital, and delete the entries from the source you do not want.
💡 This is the step that actually fixes your history. We read your phone's health app every single time you open our app, so anything you leave in there will come straight back.
This one takes a bit of time if you have a long history. If you only need your numbers to be right from here on, you can stop after step 1 and leave your past entries as they are.
3. Clear the synced entries in our app
- Go to your Profile tab > Tracking settings > Vitals.
- Tap the three dots (...) next to the health category with the incorrect numbers.
- Tap Delete Apple Health data (on Android, Delete health data).
⚠️ This clears every synced entry for that vital, not just the days that were wrong. Your manual entries will stay.
4. Open the app
We will read your phone's health app again and bring your corrected numbers back in.
