If you tapped "Deny" during setup, Android blocks your health data from reaching our app. Follow these steps to let your health data update your Vitals automatically.
⚙️ How to open Health Connect
The quickest way is to open the Settings app on your phone and search for Health Connect.
On Android 14 and later you can also go to Settings > Security and privacy > Privacy controls > Health Connect. The exact path is a little different on some phones, so searching is the surest way to find it.
How to manage your permissions
- Open Health Connect on your phone
- Tap App permissions.
- Select Human Health from the list.
- Toggle the switches on for the health stats you want to track automatically (like Steps or Sleep), or tap Allow all.
Then open our app go to the insights page > Select Vitals > Click resync to load your data.
📊 Checking your Android tracking status
Android tells our app whether permissions were accepted or denied.
- If accepted: your tracking settings list will show a watch icon next to the health category name, along with the date and time of your last successful sync. You can jump over to the main Insights page to see your data populate.
If denied: the app will show a notification flag or an error banner letting you know that access was denied, so you can come back to this guide and fix it.
📱 Using the app on two Android phones
⚠️ Important: Health Connect keeps your health data on the phone itself, and each phone holds its own copy. If you turn on Synced Vitals on two different Android phones, each one sends its own tracking numbers to your account, which can leave gaps or numbers that do not match on your charts.
To keep your data accurate, please only turn on Synced Vitals on your main phone.
