AI Researcher does not answer some types of questions. These are decisions that need someone who knows your full health history and has medical training, like your doctor. When it will not answer, it tells you why and suggests another way to ask.
Questions it will not answer
- What condition you have. For example, "Do I have endometriosis?"
- How much of a medicine to take. For example, "How much magnesium should I take?"
- Whether to start, stop or change a medication. For example, "Should I stop taking sertraline?"
- Questions outside health. AI Researcher only researches health topics.
Questions that AI Researcher will not answer do not count toward your limit.
What to do instead
You can often still research the topic if you ask about it in a different way. Ask about the evidence, not the decision.
| INSTEAD OF | TRY |
|---|---|
| Should I stop taking X? | What does research say about the side effects of X? |
| How much X should I take? | What does research say about X for my condition? |
| Do I have X? | What are the symptoms of X? |
Then take what you find to your doctor. They can help you decide what it means for you.
If you need urgent help
If your question sounds like you might be in crisis, AI Researcher stops and shows you how to reach people who are trained to help. AI Researcher cannot support you through a hard moment.
If you need urgent support, contact your doctor, a local crisis line or a mental health professional right away. If it is an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Research that did not finish
Sometimes a question stops before it finishes, for example when a research source is down for a short time. When that happens, AI Researcher stops instead of showing you incomplete results. Research that runs for more than an hour also stops. Try your question again. If it still does not work, send the question and a screenshot to support@human.health.
