You can ask AI Researcher your own question, or start from one it suggests. Follow a question and it keeps researching it for you over time.
Asking a new question
- Open the Human app.
- Tap the sparkle icon in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Ask. Then tap one of the questions under Try asking, or tap Write a detailed research question and type your own.
- Tap the search button to start.
Suggested questions are based on what you track. They are a starting point. Tap Show me others to see different ones, or write your own. A clear, detailed question gets better findings.
Research usually takes 2 to 5 minutes. You can watch the steps as AI Researcher reads your check-ins, searches the medical literature and reviews what it found. Or you can leave the app, and we will send you a push notification when your findings are ready. See AI Researcher notifications.
You can have 3 questions running at the same time. See How many questions can I ask?
Tips for a good question
- Ask about a topic, not a decision. "What does research say about magnesium and migraines?" works. "Should I take magnesium?" does not.
- One topic per question gets clearer findings.
- AI Researcher will not answer some questions, such as what condition you have or how much of a medicine to take. See Why didn't AI Researcher answer my question?
Following a question
When you follow a question, AI Researcher keeps looking into it. It checks for new research, and it takes into account changes in your tracking, such as a new symptom or treatment. New findings for a followed question usually arrive within a week.
To follow a question, tap Follow for updates at the top of its findings. To stop, tap it again.
Your feed
The Following tab is your feed. It shows the questions you follow and the latest findings for each one. New findings are marked New. Open a finding to read it and see its sources, or tap the bookmark to save it. Saved findings live in the Saved tab. You can also tap View your past questions on the Ask tab to see everything you have asked before.
When research is ready
We send a push notification when a question finishes or a followed question has something new. By default the notification does not say what you searched for. See AI Researcher notifications.
